Chehalem Glenn Players Club

Presidents's Message

I am pleased and privileged to welcome you to the best golf players club around. The membership this year looks forward to meeting old and new friends as we begin playing games on March 1, 2008.  Your Board has planned the most varied and fun filled events for this year's calendar. With e-Clubhouse website, you can look over the calendar and plan your schedule months in advance.  The mission for the Chehalem Glenn Players' Club is to have friendly competition together and promote the game of golf.  I hope to meet and get to know everyone of you throughout the year.

Play well and often!

Your Friend and Pres.,

Greg Hanson,    503-860-8481

PLAYERS' CLUB RULES:

Our Club participates in and is a member of the USGA and OGA. Therefore, all Players' Club events and tournaments will be governed by the Rules of Golf.

Please, remember these things;

* Drop areas have been provided on holes - #1, #5, #6, #7, #8, #10, #12 & #14.

* When "Winter Rules" are in effect, mark your ball, clean and place it within 6" no closer to the hole.

* Play "Ready Golf"!  Continuous putting, when it does not interfere with another players line.  When the First player completes putting, go to the next tee box and tee off (if it can be done safely).  Then the Second player will putt out and tee off.  The Third player completes the hole then tends the flag while the Fourth player completes the hole.  Record the group's score at the next tee. (Do NOT hang around the green and discuss scores.)  When on the fairway, be ready to hit.

* KNOW THE RULES!  If you are unsure of how a rule pertains to a certain situation, playing two balls is applicable, but you must state you are doing so. Record both scores and bring your concern to the tournament chairman or one of the pros who will determine the correct ruling.

* LOST BALLS! Remember FIVE minutes is the maximum time to search for a golf ball.

* HELP SPOT DRIVES!  All members of the group watch team mates tee off continue watching until the ball lands.

* When you arrive at the green, keep carts and clubs on the side of the green closest to the next tee. DO NOT LEAVE CARTS/CLUBS IN FRONT OF THE GREEN!

* Be aware of your place on the course!  Watch for other players who may hit a stray ball your way.

* All scores (either home or away, 9 or 18 holes) must be turned in for handicap consideration.  You must post your scores on the computer in the Chehalem Glen Pro Shop, at the course you played or on the OGA web-site. You also need to turn in your  signed, attested  and  dated  score cards in the Players' Club Mailbox in the Pro Shop.  Keep it fair!
